In a silent, fog-covered landscape, pale garments hang from a clothesline while a headless woman floats motionless among them.
Yet the figure is not hanging from the line. Her feet never touch the ground, and nothing visibly supports her body. While the clothesline carries ordinary garments, the human figure occupies the same space as an inexplicable presence suspended between the familiar and the impossible.
The absence of the head suggests more than death—it evokes the erasure of identity. The dress still defines a body. The hands, arms, and bare feet remain unmistakably human. Yet the face, the primary marker through which identity is recognized, has disappeared completely.
Around her, the pale garments resemble empty shells waiting for bodies that may never return. Against them, the black dress becomes a visual weight, blurring the boundary between person and clothing: Does the human body carry the garment, or does the garment eventually become what remains of the human?
Two ravens occupy the earth beneath her as silent witnesses. One turns toward the ground while the other appears to observe the suspended figure. Their opposing gestures reinforce the tension between the ordinary and the inexplicable.
