🎨 Twisted Perceptions – The Architecture of Absence
🖌️ CONCEPT / STORY
A human portrait appears caught between existence and disappearance. Parts of the face, skull, neck, and shoulder remain intact, while the rest of the body has transformed into an extremely delicate organic network of membranes, cavities, and thread-like connections.
The missing areas are not represented as wounds. Instead, absence itself becomes structure. Empty space penetrates the body while a fragile biological lattice continues to preserve the recognizable human form.
The work explores the paradox of losing pieces of oneself without completely disappearing. Memory, identity, and experience may erode over time, yet invisible connections continue to hold the remaining fragments together.
The black void surrounding the figure intensifies this idea. There is nowhere else to look—only the person and the spaces where the person no longer exists. The result sits between anatomy and abstraction, suggesting a body slowly becoming its own memory.
