Twisted Perceptions – The Blooming of the Mind
This artwork is a surreal meditation on rebirth, identity, and the subconscious. A calm, closed-eyed head rises from blood-red waters—symbolizing inner stillness and reflection. Emerging from this head is a faceless figure holding a vibrant bouquet of red flowers, representing thoughts, memories, and feelings that have blossomed through introspection. Her lack of a face suggests the fluidity of identity—one not yet fully formed or constantly reshaped by inner change.
The figure’s elven ears and feather-like hair indicate a connection to something beyond the human realm—perhaps imagination or spirit. Her upright hand, half-submerged, becomes a symbol of pause, resistance, or awakening, as if inviting the viewer to stop and observe the illusion of their own perceptions.
The jagged red mountains and stormy clouds evoke emotional turbulence and the distorted landscapes of the mind. Nothing in this world is linear or stable. Everything is twisted—land, sky, water, and even the self.
In line with the Twisted Perceptions collection, this piece distorts reality to reflect the unseen truths within. It invites the viewer to confront what lies beneath the surface and to question: “What version of you blooms when no one is watching?”
