Twisted Perceptions #477
🎨 Twisted Perceptions – Fractured Silence (The Weight of Absence)
🖌️ CONCEPT / STORY
This artwork portrays a person whose identity is slowly collapsing beneath the invisible weight of modern existence. The face has dissolved into thick layers of textured paint, leaving no recognizable features—only fragments of memory and emotion remain.
The seated posture suggests physical stillness, yet internally everything is breaking apart. Rough, fragmented brushstrokes distort the body, symbolizing a life reconstructed from unfinished thoughts, emotional scars, and forgotten experiences.
Rather than depicting despair, the work explores what remains after identity has been stripped away. It asks whether a person is defined by appearance, memory, or the silent burdens carried within.
