🎨 Twisted Perceptions – Signal Flesh
🖌️ CONCEPT / STORY
This animation explores a human identity reconstructed from digital fragments rather than flesh. The central figure appears to be made from thousands of tiny blocks, lines, visual signals, and distorted data structures. Its body remains recognizable, yet every surface seems unstable—as though the person exists only because countless broken pieces are temporarily holding together.
Throughout the animation, the surrounding field continuously shifts. Horizontal waves bend, pixel clusters reorganize, and fragmented textures crawl across the figure’s body. The silhouette does not simply stand inside a digital environment; it appears to be generated by that environment.
The piece reflects a contemporary condition in which identity is increasingly shaped by information, screens, algorithms, memories, and fragmented digital experiences. The human form survives, but it is no longer separate from the data surrounding it.
The work asks whether identity can remain authentic once the boundary between the self and the information consuming it completely disappears.
