🎨 Twisted Perceptions – The Last Call
🖌️ CONCEPT / STORY
A faceless figure holds a red telephone receiver to a head that is already dissolving into darkness.
The gesture suggests an attempt to maintain a connection that may no longer exist. The telephone cord descends from the receiver but ends abruptly, its exposed wires revealing the truth: the connection has already been severed.
Yet the figure continues to listen.
As the face disappears into particles, the surrounding lines resemble invisible signals, echoes, or conversations that continue long after communication has ended. The exposed roots emerging from the sleeve reinforce the idea that connection is deeper than technology—it is something human, organic, and difficult to abandon.
The work explores loss, communication, memory, disconnection, and the inability to let go of a voice that is no longer there.
Sometimes we keep listening, even after the line has gone silent.

Composition: The red receiver creates the main visual anchor, while the broken cable leads the eye downward toward the exposed wires and fragmented body.
Textures: Heavy grain, halftone patterns, particle erosion, etched linework, and rough monochromatic surfaces create a distressed analogue aesthetic.
Visual Focus: The contrast between the vivid red telephone and the disappearing face turns a familiar act of communication into a symbol of irreversible absence.
