⚡ TWISTED PERCEPTIONS – THE ROOTS THAT WALK
🧠 CONCEPT / STORY
It is not a person sitting on the stool — it is an imposter organism, an identity replaced by foliage.
A dense crown of leaves spills outward where a face should be, as if thought itself has overgrown its container. The figure’s upper form has vanished beneath a living mass of quiet, invasive growth, a mind swallowed by what once was meant only to decorate.
Below, the body remains obedient: striped socks aligned, shoes polished, posture frozen in perfect compliance. The lower half still remembers how to be human — the upper half no longer cares.
The contrast is violent: a wild, organic bloom on top of a childlike, disciplined, almost cartoonish pair of legs. This is not transformation; this is occupation.
Light carves a harsh rectangle on the ground, but the figure refuses to be fully seen. Shadows cling to the leaves, and the stool becomes a pedestal for something that mimics innocence while hiding an expanding void inside.
It is not sitting. It is waiting to root deeper.
Every leaf whispers a memory replaced, each vein a thought overwritten. This is the anatomy of self-erasure through quiet overgrowth — where the mind blooms into something it can no longer recognize.
