This Photo was taken on the Ningaloo Reef. The Ningaloo Reef is a fringing reef that stretches for 300 kilometers and is a very special place full of different and wonderful marine life. As I dove down towards the ledge which was around 10 meters deep the glass fish started to separate. I lined up the photo and the glass fish framed this resting turtle perfectly. The turtle looked at me with this look on her face that I will never forget. After taking only a few photos I needed to resurface for air and I knew in that moment that this was one of the best photos I had ever taken. Moments like this one are extremely rare and I am incredibly grateful for it.
This Photo is the reason I won "Ocean Photographer of the year 2021" with Oceanographic Magazine and was on display in the exhibition next to the river Thames and has been shared all over the world including BBC news and Ocean Magazine.
It has also been included in the Vital Impacts fine art print sale where all Profits go towards Wild Life Conservation, along side some of the worlds best wildlife photographers.
