'TRU$T ME' (2017)
An Original Work by XCOPY
Edition of 10 | Re-released Under CC0
One of the earliest documented works by XCOPY, 'TRU$T ME', was originally release on his Tumblr page on May 1st, 2017 as a limited edition of 10. Raw, defiant and prophetic, it portrays then UK Prime Minister Theresa May, created shortly after she had formally initiated the Brexit process in March of that year. Now, after years in limbo, 'TRU$T ME' returns in its original format and edition, re-released under the CC0 license granted by XCOPY and, potentially appearing on the blockchain for the very first time. A resurrection not just of an artwork, but of a pivotal moment in the history of digital art.
