Tifa is one of the musical instruments originating from Papua and Moluccas too of course. Tifa is also sounding the voice of brotherhood and unity. For Moluccan, Tifa is closely related to the origin story of the Moluccan ancestors which later resulted in the Siwa Lima philosophy. Long ago on Seram Island lived three brothers, namely Ulisiwa, Ulilima, and Uliassa.
Uliassa chose to separate from his brother, while Ulisiwa and Ulilima settled on the island of Seram which later gave birth to descendants in Maluku to this day. They call Pata Siwa for the descendants of Ulisiwa and Pata Lima for the descendants of Ulilima. This harmony between Pata Shiva and Pata Lima later became the philosophy of life for the people of Moluccas. Siwa Lima became a philosophy, which the meanings are even though we are different we are still one.
