“Tribal Crocodile Queen”

Clad in crocodile skins, this proud tribal queen stands tall and stalwart in protection of her village. She is revered for her prowess, her compassion, and her wisdom in guiding her people to harmony and peace.

Kenyan model, the inimitable AKINYI, was photographed in my Bangkok studio. Southeast Asia’a renowned stylist, Norwegian-born Hilde Marie Johansen, adorned her with a huge stone necklace I acquired in the far reaches of the Baliem Valley located in the eastern-most province of Papua in Indonesia, where I also obtained the authentic grass skirt. I bought the crocodile skin at the huge Chatuchak Weekend Market on the outskirts of Bangkok.
