On June 20th 1969, 600 million people watched on television as Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin planted the American flag on the moon's surface.
Using that same footage, the figures of Armstrong and Aldrin are plucked from the grainy background of the broadcast to create a flowing sculptural form, punctuating the surrounding blackness.
