The notion of a transformation consisting of bliss is based on naivety and is deceptive of the true nature of the obstacles faced in the journey. Depending on the impact a transformation has on your life, you'll question the majority of your perceptions, leaving you a seemingly faulty system that was once considered impenetrable by trials and tribulations. Your current beliefs are malleable at this moment. However, you begin to reconstruct a new identity and detach from the old constructs of your world beliefs. Your seemingly inescapable traumatic experience caused by the discrepancy between your vision and reality of the world, is superseded by a new understanding of yourself and the world. A new you is formed with a relatively profound understanding and reflection of your past experiences.
A quote from my favourite author, Robert Greene, explains "transformation" exceptionally.
"Imagine yourself years in the future looking back at the work you have done. From that future vantage point, the extra months and years you devoted to the process will not seem painful or laborious at all. It is an illusion of the present that will vanish. Time is your greatest ally." - Robert Greene
