TRANQUILITY
The Artwork is meant to convey to the audience a feel of relaxing motion of the sand with the breeze which is reflected through the ripples of sand. We live in a chaotic world with unprecedented erratic situations in our lives.
This piece of work tries to rekindle the stillness and calmness of taking a pause amid the chaos to visualize the inner peace that embodies in every individual. The light rays display a sense of hope which is needed in time of difficulties. It also shows the importance of not letting the negative energy put us down, instead focus on the positive energy that we receive from our surroundings.
The pieces are made in a semi surrealistic style. At first glance they may appear as seemingly flat or even 2D but instead each piece works off of a depth using a variety of elements at different scales and positions within the scene to make up the final composition.
The definition above is the feeling of the artist as perceived. The audience is free to interpret as one feels or create one that suits one’s own imagination.
