Tourist Trip

Colin planned to propose to her at the very top of the CN Tower with a sapphire ring the size of her thumb. It was gonna be perfect in every way; they would dine at the spinning restaurant, he'd make her laugh, and then he'd get on his knee by the window overlooking the water. At least, that was the plan until their taxi arrived at the tower and Colin saw seven of them, all stacked on top of each other like a leafless tree. What was supposed to be a colourful sunset sky was now a neon kaleidoscope. He cursed in his head, knowing exactly what was happening. His friend knew that he was proposing today and gave him a Xanax pill to calm the nerves. Colin couldn't believe his friend would give him drugs, today of all days! Why would he do that to him? And now his girlfriend was staring at him with a dozen eyes and a concerned look. This tourist trip was turned into a tourist trap!
