The toco toucan has a plumage with a matte black coloration in almost the entire body, except for a part of its chest, throat and sides of the head, which are white. A quite striking feature is the beak that has a bright yellow color, and at the tip of the upper jaw it has a black part, the same as at its base; Within the group of toucans, it is the bird with the largest beak, as it can measure up to 20 cm in length and is made up of a network of bone fibers, which gives it strength and lightness at the same time. As for its tongue, it is thin and remarkably long, it can measure up to 15 cm. The male is larger than the female; however, both sexes have the same coloration in their plumage.
