I wrote this song right at the beginning of the pandemic when "we're in this together" was the go-to catchphrase. I think it was said with good intentions, it's just that it didn't always feel true. It feels like, more and more, divisions have been drawn and factions solidified. It would be nice to see more of that togetherness and will to move forward through the hard times.
