Trapped in an alternate universe 1885, Dr. Emmit Brown invents the first successful time machine featuring a steam-powered Flux Capacitor.
In keeping with the time theme, I wanted to celebrate stories such as H. G. Wells, The Time Machine, and the film trilogy, Back To The Future. I asked the question if the Doc was stuck in an alternate universe what would his time machine look like? The Flux Capacitator was central to the construction, other parts were made from cannibalized steam trains, ships, mills, mansions, steel works, and anything else found in the 1800s. Once powered up, jets of steam hissed with electric blue charges streaking over the machine as it whirls into life cranking into gear before vanishing into an iridescent multi-colored smoky haze and onto the next adventure...
The Time Machine still-frame artwork attempts to capture and celebrate the action and drama within a single image from its 30-second 300-frame animated counterpart. The artwork comprises of many clockwork mechanisms, cogs, and pulleys. Art styles are best described as surrealistic impressions of Steampunk, Dieselpunk, Reto Futurism, Fantasy, Cyberpunk, Dystopia, Utopia, and Whimsical Worlds.
