Thank you for taking the time to check out my music. I'd like to provide some insight into this track and my creative process. Lately, I've been exploring new territories by moving away from conventional chord changes and typical song structures. This has led me to question the purpose of music for listeners. Must we always rely on familiar song forms? Why can't we liberate music and capture more of a flow state? That's precisely what I aimed to achieve with this composition. To create this track, I began by recording four tracks from the Korg Minilogue synthesizer, capturing them on a six-second cassette tape loop using the Yamaha MT4X multitrack cassette recorder. The synth track you hear is the result of manually adjusting the pitch knob on the four-track machine, gradually increasing its speed. I then processed the audio through a special reverb called the Chow Matrix. Additionally, I incorporated the iconic Yamaha CS-80v synthesizer, famously used by Vangelis in Blade Runner. As for the drum tracks, I programmed and performed them live on the Elektron Model Samples. To further enhance the arrangement, I took advantage of a borrowed bass clarinet, seizing the opportunity to incorporate its unique timbre. For the best audio experience, I recommend using headphones to fully immerse yourself in the sound.
Once again, thank you for listening! *Special thanks to @ShillyPreston for the artwork!
