Through the Clouds

As my friend waded into the murky Floridian water he shouted back at me, "Watch for gators!" Needless to say, I wasn't interested in stepping into any alligator-infested waters as he was. I felt the composition was nice enough on the edge of the freshwater pond. As I took this photo I was definitely sleep-deprived at 2:00 AM. The tiredness always dissipates once I see the Milky Way. Even through the clouds, it bursts into sight in mesmerizing fashion. There's something about seeing into the center of our own galaxy that will calm the mind. The reflection of the stars on the calm water made this scene even better and more relaxing.
