The Way it felt

I made this piece during a period of emotional uncertainty and longing.

I couldn't quite express what was happening in my head, so I sketched it first.

A swollen head, searching eyes, hands reaching for comfort, and a bright golden yellow I hadn't used in a while.

The sketch became a way of making the feeling visible.

This piece is about wanting something, knowing it may not be possible, and not knowing what to do with that feeling.
