The Void stared back, only I held a mirror, so it remained black in its cold abyss.
What had been trapped among our mist? Were others observant as we kissed?
This Void
Mirrors form a prism & reflect us on celluloid or another mechanism.
Fantods, day after day, we reached for numbness. The cold was unbearable, nor was the fog, blindness, our certainty blanketed, at odds with the clear air & heat.
These others observed, though we felt nothing, cold, unperturbed.
Wake up. Wake up. The abyss wants to speak. We are wakened by a restless thunder.
"My gosh, you are antiques." insults us, it too, awakened from slumber. "Warmth costs. Are your ready to pay?" I reached for my billfold & as I did, "I am the Great Void. This is not how you pay."
