The Twelve Apostles is a popular and recognizable site in Australia, located in the Southern Ocean at Port Campbell National Park in the state of Victoria. These limestone pillars were once part of the receding headlands and were created by wind and sea erosion. There are currently 7 as one collapsed several years back and the remaining may also eventually disappear in time with new ones being created as erosion continues to carve away at the cliffs.
