The Things We Face

Living in peace and harmony is fundamental to a healthy, fulfilling, and positive life. However, we live in a world that chooses to be unbalanced and out of touch with our true essence. "Untitled Face" is a part of a collection, Commonalities and Harmonization, that represents the feeling one receives when a combination of experiences and diverse backgrounds come together to acknowledge each other's similarities. I utilized an array of different brown colors to showcase the diversity within our skin tones.The textured fabrics such as the leather, paisley, suede, etc. reveals the ways in which we all hold unique experiences with them and through them. One is able to see the similarities that unite us and begin to live more peacefully amongst one another. Our differences shouldn’t separate us, but rather bring us together in harmony.
