✨️The first successful woman: Catherine de' Medici, an Italian princess and wife of King Henry II of France, became the first woman to wear high-heeled shoes in her wedding due to her short stature. In the sixteenth century, women wore platform shoes, but Catherine opted for regular shoes with a high back, influencing the evolution of women's footwear.
✨️Inspired by the: The world's oldest known shoe, the Areni 1, is a well-preserved leather shoe dating back over 5,500 years. Discovered in 2008 during archaeological excavations in the Areni 1 cave complex in Armenia, it surpasses its predecessor by several centuries and holds the title of the oldest known footwear, even older than the shoes found alongside the Ice Man "Ötzi."
A more than two-thousand-year-old red knitted sock, crafted in Egypt between 250 to 420 AD, remains remarkably well-preserved. Discovered in the late nineteenth century in the Oxrhynchus cemetery, it was donated to a London museum in 1900. Surprisingly, its appearance hardly betrays its age, with vivid red color and a notably large size suggesting its owner had large feet.
✨️The story: I was attached to my shoes! The ones that held memories of my youthful years, I couldn't bear to part with them. Sitting there, restricted by my tight shoes, going nowhere, step by step unfeasible, I would say and repeat...
Parsa passed by me. Surprise! Parsa was barefoot, not wearing any shoes. When he saw me, he smiled and said: Happiness is not a lie, but perhaps you won't find it because happiness involves taking risks, and the most beautiful risk is losing...
As long as you're tangled in these tight shoes, the world seems small, and life is tedious. Be bold, put on new shoes. Be courageous and believe that you've grown...
I turned to Parsa, gave a sarcastic smile, and said: If you're telling the truth, then why don't you wear new shoes so you won't be barefoot?!
Parsa humbly laughed and replied: I am a traveler, and the reward for each journey is a pair of shoes that tightens every time I return, and each time I realize I've grown a bit more...
I traversed thousands of roads and cast thousands of shoes aside to understand that growing comes at a cost that must be paid. Now, there's no shoe that fits me anymore...
