My first mint on the tezos chain!
Skulldala is part of the Core Device series, using the structure of a mandala to explore cycles of identity and transformation.
The skulls form a symmetrical system, repeated, fractured, and layered, drawing from psychological symbolism and mythic imagery. Each variation reflects a shift in state: distortion, fragmentation, memory, reconstruction.
The circular layout echoes meditative and ritual diagrams, acting as a containment field for chaos. The skull, often tied to death, here functions as a symbol of what is carried through change: ancestral memory, psychological residue, remnants of self. This piece sits at the edge between order and dissolution, form and collapse.
The Core Device series is a collection of artworks derived from visions seen in meditative states, whilst never fully being able to pluck them from that realm and bring them into this reality, the Core Device series aims to depict them as close as possible by allowing a stream of consciousness approach to the creation process, whilst drawing inspiration from the visions themselves.
