The Shield Bug

This little fella had personality. I caught him climbing up this leaf towards me. It was a pretty difficult shot to get due to the angle; looking directly downwards into the plant makes the arms feel somewhat tired after a while. Eventually, I managed to get this shot with a beautiful leading line through the image and the main subject posing perfectly. Shot with my custom macro setup with artificial lighting to ensure a separated background and focus on the bug.
