The spell was once called "glowing orb". Or, someone had used that name in reference to the light. He knew this much to be true. Sometimes he forgot it was a spell, and imagined it to be a shining proof that he was still lucid. Yesterday he was more than convinced that he had first seen the spell as a child. Much past his bedtime, he had entered a dim, dingy carnival tent. Even at his age he could tell the disheveled elderly woman sitting behind the glowing ball was only feigning enthusiasm when she told him to come closer.....Was it really a spell all those years ago, or simply a trick of light? Well....That was yesterday. Today, he is positive the memory is likely not his at all, but rather, it must belong to one of the many children he has recently devoured. Theodore nodded, as if to confirm one of the two theories.
