Every time you find yourself frustrated because you cannot do something small, pause for a moment and look back at everything you’ve overcome.
Think about everything you have survived. The battles nobody saw. The wounds you had to heal on your own. The fears you faced, the lessons you learned, the days you thought would break you but somehow didn’t. Think about the strength it took to crawl out of places that felt like hell and rebuild yourself piece by piece.
And then ask yourself: does this small failure really define you?
Why do we measure our worth by the things we cannot do, while ignoring everything we have already overcome? Why do we expect perfection from ourselves when we would never demand it from the people we love?
We are not machines. We are not gods. We are human beings carrying different histories, different scars, and different burdens.
Sometimes what seems effortless for someone else is difficult for you, not because you are less capable, but because you have spent years fighting battles they may never have had to face. The energy you used to survive could have been used to learn other skills, build confidence, or gain experience. Everyone’s path is different.
So donʼt rush to shame yourself when something doesnʼt come naturally. Donʼt let a single weakness erase a lifetime of resilience.
Be proud of every mistake. Be proud of every failure. Be proud of every time you fell and chose to stand up again. Failure is not evidence of your inability. It is evidence that you are still moving forward.
The people who never fail are often the people who never dare.
You are not defined by the things you struggle with. You are defined by the fact that, despite everything, you continue.
