Nestled in a spot where the Sangre de Cristo Mountains buckle inward, the dunes have been building and sifting for eons — the result of the San Luis Valley's unique wind patterns.
I hiked into the dunes and found a UFO hovering off the ground.
I captured its photo but I don't remember much else.
