A retro-futurist meditation on Artemis, sanctuary, and the mythology of the desert oasis.
Set within an imagined 1966 Palm Springs, this work blends mid-century modern aesthetics, Greek symbolism, and cosmic surrealism into a dreamlike transmission from an alternate cultural timeline. Artemis appears not as a relic of mythology, but as a living archetype, guardian of wilderness, instinct, feminine sovereignty, and the strange minds searching for refuge beneath the palms.
The floating brain functions as both artifact and oracle: suspended consciousness drifting between memory, imagination, and signal. Surrounding elements reference atomic-age optimism, celestial navigation, sacred geometry, and the visual language of vintage travel posters reinterpreted through a contemporary surrealist lens.
Palm trees historically symbolized sanctuary, resilience, and divine refuge across ancient cultures. Here, they become witnesses. Silent archivists holding the frequency of those who never fully belonged to the ordinary world.
The palms remember. The signal persists.
