The Memorial

Death is inevitable when the movement stops... frozen in time, immovable and eternal.

This unique artwork is my genesis collection on Async.Art and it's a meditation on my own death. In 24 hours we can see as the sculpture assembles during the performance.

This performance symbolizes the retrospect of our life. During the movement I leave a body imprint on approximately every 5th frame of the animation. When the movement stops, there is an abstract/surrealistic sculpture. The different motion paths are analogies of rails that are sometimes laid before us but sometimes we see them only after we have walked them.

My greatest inspiration concerning forms and shape language is HR Giger, creator of the Alien creature. Analyzing his work and the Process Philosophy I have developed a technique of the Process Sculptures. I sculpt the models and use my own motion capture performance.
