Captured during a sunset flight through the North Cascades at the beginning of Summer. The melt continues and grows faster as the days and sunlight reach further. These outposts were the first line of defense for fires in the area. Today they are used as a place to find comfort in the uncomfortable, providing shelter from the elements, a calm oasis in an environment of torrential intensity
