THE JAVANESE BRIDE

This is the traditional clothes of Central Java. Kanigaran, Mataram's cultural heritage. Kanigaran itself refers to the special bridal makeup of the royal family in the Ngayogyakarta Sultanate called paes ageng kanigaran.

Black is a symbol of wisdom and perfection in Javanese traditional philosophy. On his head, he wears a headdress in the form of a cunduk mentu.
