The Heavy Elevator

Landscape #4

Deep down in the Haken Weapons Facility, only thick metal, the industrial grade rubber hydraulics and the seldom flicker of computer modules can be seen. Heavy engines and the whirling of cooling systems fill the air drowning out even the loudest of thoughts. The elevator screeches as it slides endlessly along its tracks, hauling the inevitable doom for millions of citizens.
