What do we think of when we hear a word “money”? Is it a banknote with, luckily, Benjamin Franklin on it? A credit card that needs to be paid off by the end of this month? Or maybe one or two bitcoins that you wish you did buy despite everyone’s saying the opposite?
Who could believe that in just a hundred years the technological progress would take us so far that some inventions and scientific discoveries would be blowing up minds and imaginations every single day? Henry Ford would most likely nervously smoke on the sidelines if he saw our self-driving cars, which, besides everything, could be purchased for a digital currency; and Bretton Woods’ nerds would laugh in your face if you told them about Dogecoin.
It is not a secret that the rising interest in blockchain and cryptocurrencies launched a huge shift in the financial industry as people are starting to realize the power of their own choices in this big and dusty mechanism, as well as the importance of themselves in making the history.
In this art, I show how many of us tend to give up on cash and banks with their ridiculous regulations and interest rates; to speak out, to participate in the thick of the action, and to finally make that money. This battle is fascinating and terrifying, this is the chance to get out of the system and stop hiding from the “big brother’. These people literally say “f*ck y’all, now we do have the power!” Do you?
