Created in collaboration with Katy Arrington.

Inspiration and creativity can be hidden everywhere. In this collaboration with Katy, she used my abstract color flowing texture as a way to incorporate mystical entities in the flowing patterns in a very creative way creating an entirely new world inside a simple texture.

Note from Katy: As soon as I saw Vans’ gorgeous digital textures, these ethereal calming fantastical images popped in my head. I wanted to give it a human touch. I love the contrast of the otherworldly abstract shapes that removes the concept of time and space with a grounded human figure. There is no story or identities to the figures, almost like they’re ghostly beings wandering the plane of this metaphysical realm Vans has created.
