THE CARNIVAL

I have always wanted to visit Rio to see the world famous carnival. The enormous colourful floats and the dancers covered in their shimmering outfits, the beating drums, the smiles, what a spectacle! It is definitely something to look forward to once the pandemic finally departs and the world safely opens up again. In the meantime these days I try and keep that carnival spirit alive, celebrating creativity, connection, liberation and the beat of life in all of us till we stop dancing. And the best way to do that is to keep doodling it would seem.

My creatures always seem to be having some form of carnival together. Any excuse for a doodle party! It has been a source of peace during these challenging times that I can get respite in watching these unique artworks evolve into these parades of aliens, monsters, robots and symbolic imagery. I have no doubt there is a carnival celebration in all of us so I am always happy to connect people to my version of that wonderful joyous energy.
