پس از مرگ مادربزرگش — زنی که او را بزرگ کرده بود — جهان رنگ باخت. غم، او را به گریه نینداخت… بلکه در سکوتی عمیق فرو برد. درد، به درون چرخید؛ و از پسِ چشمانی ساکت، تنها تماشا کرد. «قفس» دومین قطعه از یک مجموعه‌ی ۶ بخشی‌ست. این مجموعه، سیر تحول احساسی یک عاشق داغ‌دیده را روایت می‌کند. هر پرتره، لایه‌ای تازه از تنهایی، اندوه و آغاز حضور دختر را نشان می‌دهد — دختری که کم‌کم به فرشته‌ی دوم او بدل می‌شود، پس از فقدانِ نخستین فرشته‌اش.
