They say to chase the wind,
but what if the wind is running from me?
What if purpose is a whisper I’ll never catch?
They say to step outside,
that risk is where life begins.
But why is safety painted as small?
Why is comfort a sin?
What if outside holds nothing but silence,
nothing but loss,
nothing but regret?
So here I stand
on the edge of a life not yet lived,
with a heart full of wanting
and feet too afraid to move.
