The Astronaut

On the 20th of July 1969 the crew of Apollo 11 were the first humans to land on the moon. In September 2007 tardigrades were exposed to the vacuum of space and solar radiation onboard the Foton-M3 mission. They came back to earth unharmed. On the 11 April 2019 an automated lander, with a payload including several brave tardigrades, crash landed on the moon- They are still there today but may yet return home to a hero's welcome!
