My works are born from my most immediate context: from what surrounds me, from the everyday, from that which sometimes feels too close to be truly seen.
I want to deeply thank those who not only chose to acquire the work, but also chose to pause and look at it. Because looking—truly looking—is a sensitive gesture, a form of care, and also a way of thinking.
It continues to amaze me that someone, from another part of the world, from a different circuit of meaning, can find value, questions, or resonances in an image that emerges from such a situated experience. In that displacement, something breaks and something is created: a geographic, cultural, or symbolic barrier stops being a limit and becomes a bridge.
I believe images are not exhausted by what they show. They look back at us, they question us, they invite us to rethink what we take for granted. That my works have been chosen means, for me, that this invitation has been accepted.
Thank you for looking with attention, for holding the question open, and for allowing this image to exist beyond me.
