Tenacity

The base photo for “Tenacity” was taken in Death Valley. The lone shrub, thriving in a harsh and unforgiving landscape, is the ultimate metaphor for resilience and grit—hence the name. A variety of post-production techniques were applied to create a surreal and otherworldly look and feel while illuminating the shrub and contrasting with the inorganic surrounding layers. Life goes on.
