This render is part of a series of abstract works I created using a funky little program called "Structure Synth" in the '10s. I disliked polygon modeling in Lightwave so much that I used just about any other program I could to create my meshes. This piece was the first I created using the program in 2012. Others like "Hexagram", "Oculus", and "Recursion" would follow.
Structure Synth uses procedural tools and primitives to create any number of amazing geometric structures. Once I created the model I then used Lightwave3D to texture, light and render them as interesting wallpapers.
The idea here was mainly to figure out what was possible using the software. Once in Lightwave I wanted to create a study in metallic contrast.
