Symmetric Origin

I worked on this piece on and off since September of this year. I poured every ounce of myself into my work over those few months and the result is Symmetric Origin.

The piece features over 800 individual faces and separate drawings all collaged together. The faces that make up the drawing take direct inspiration from my own personal life, and people that surround me. The faces are not meant to be realistic depictions of people, but rather, exist to capture the essence of their character, and the role they play in my life.

The symmetric aspect is meant to show the mirrored nature of my own circumstance. I often finding myself realizing the parallels between seemingly separate things in my life, and the piece is meant to express that.

My art is an outward expression of my own self, and it exists as an extension of my own being. I hope you are able to find meaning in this piece as I have, and I hope it can bring you closer to find whatever you are looking for.
