Parched Hammered Sheild Lichen and Oakmoss form overlapping colonies on a maple branch. The warm and pink discoloured tones are caused by a chemical reaction of the lichen to an unknown substance; either particles in the air or through physical contact. (Parmelia sulcata - Evernia prunastri)
Photographed in situ, without the use of artificial lighting or staging. Photoshop only used for resizing.
