This piece plays with the seduction of excess — the sweetness we chase, the indulgence we press against our vision until we can no longer see clearly. The macarons become both ornament and obstruction, symbols of pleasure layered over the senses, blurring the line between desire and distraction.
The face dissolves into digital interference, as if the very act of longing is glitching the system. Texture, color, and distortion merge to reveal a beauty that is unstable, hunted by its own intensity. The work asks what happens when decadence becomes a filter, when the pursuit of the perfect bite, the perfect image, the perfect self, begins to erode the contours of our humanity.
In this fractured sweetness, I’m exploring how modern desire is consumed — and how it consumes us back.
