Surrender Machines is a generative art series that explores “Machine DNA” as a lens on acceptance, control, and agency—asking whether a machine could surrender on our behalf. What began as a conceptual pun became a framework for what we can control versus what we must accept. Walhimer treats each machine as an external manifestation of ourselves; by interacting with, building, or observing these systems, we practice acceptance and surrender.
Seed-driven (1909113409) interactive Three.js Surrender Machine with sliders for speed, horizontal gear size, vertical gear size, horizontal gear count, and vertical gear count. On/off for gravity X, Y, and Z. The machine is pulled apart by simulated gravity, then resets. Machine geometry from seed is locked—same rebuild on gravity reset.
