"Surfing" Dreams take on

We have three good breaks close to where I live. In between two of the breaks are a couple section breaks known only locally as “Pipe” (where a 3 ft. diameter pipe extends into the ocean) and Stables” (where there are some stables. Makes sense.) . When a local says where they are going they say we’re surfing “Pipe”: not, “The Pipe.” But “Pipe”. Same with “Stables” It’s like saying we are going to surf “Trestles” Not “The Trestles”
