During the pandemic, I started looking for unique naturescapes in Los Angeles to shoot. This led me to explore new ways to capture the water, trying to achieve more abstract and minimalist shots more akin to color field and impressionist painting than photography. I call this series Surf Minimalism and love how every image is different and fleeting, and finding simplicity and beauty amidst the changing chaos, which is especially important to me in today's world. This was shot on a Sony A7R IV with a 135mm f/1.8 lens.
